it was her birthday. 25th nov 2007.  she might never know, but i always hated missing her birthdays since i came to australia.happy birthday babe. missed you so much it hurts. always be smiling, you hear!  it was kathy's 4months anniversary with her mr. richard. the sweet boyfriend from singapore *ahem* sent her flowers! she was taking pictures of the bouquet and i was taking pictures of her. hahahaha. funny as hell. when will it be my turn? :P oh well, i shall rejoice in her happiness instead :D someone's having chicken rice in singapore now, god dammit. i cooked dinner! i might not cook much; but in ratatouille's spirit, "anyone can cook!". so it's greens ( i'm talking green and yellow capsicum, zucchini and carrots; slurps!) and chicken breast meat with english mustard, herbs and parley dressing roasted in the oven. finish it off with a glass of champers. mmm. went shopping during lunch break and got this super hot grey v-neck and the cutest red dress! super funny story; kathy and me bought the same dress and we both wore it on friday. talk about sisters-in-crime. man, i missed her so much already! it's pretty amazing i grew so close to this little lady in a matter of months. it must be destiny. last friday was perth's biggest office party at QV1. look at the drinks on 1 table! the acts were great; look at the flame throwers debut in the middle of the park! woot! good music. pretty boys and girls.  happy birthday my dear friend, the one that always stood by when others came and went. you had me at hello, it's like you are an angel that wore a halo. destiny is a funny lady, she makes sure we'll always be each other's baby. i laugh when you laugh, and we cry together when times are tough. 10 years of friendship is no joke, it's still unbelievable that we went through all the gossip folks. i guess you always meant the best, and like the old school band motto, to never let it rest. i loved the times we went to thomson, because you always hold my heart at ransom. you are beautiful and perfect, not just because you were my secondary school prefect. it was funny how i went to CJ to crash, because that's where we ended up in a lump of mash. but i loved the way you look tonight, just like the way you looked at prom night. ivan was like my brother, that is because i love you like my sister. you are smart, funny and intelligent unlike me, the hooligan belligerent. it's unbelievable that i have a kindred spirit like you, that would trust me in everything you do. i always keep you in my mind, and will always do so till the end of time. i seek divine intervention from time to time, to make sure that you will always be just fine. thank you for being you, because you made me feel like i am one of the lucky few. this moment is what we both have been dreaming for! to have a brilliant career and someone that you adore! i wish i can be the one that can make your wildest dreams come true, but i know that the one that can make you most happy is your beau. so happy happy birthday my friend, and take comfort that i will always be that helping hand. so enjoy your life and always smile, because i'll always be watching out for you, for a long long while.  went to the bentley institute of hospitality with my colleagues last night; it was good fun. loved the dessert and the company. The best line i heard that night was; "i''m going home to my bitch". mr. doctor meant to say he's going home to his dog. such a sweetie gangster. word. it is luke's birthday! so i went to Sahara tonight and the whole carousel dome crew surprised the godfather with a celebration. i had yummy malaysian food plus ice cream cake, so i'm happy. did an embarrassing thing at work today; had a formal introduction to some planners at PD day but instead of smiling, i did a funny wave at them. not just any wave. imagine a wave, queen elizabeth would be proud of. fool. well done, well done yin. having a farewell cocktail session tomorrow; and on friday too. will miss my office cubicle neighbours :( but work's great, and i got my first credit card! happy happy. more updates soon, and pictures too! p.s. i miss my brother so much.  six months ago, all i wanted was to graduate soon and get a banking job. and i would be happy. now, i've graduated and am working in a bank. but six months from now, i want to have a spanking new apartment in east perth & a new car. probably, i would get what i want and then i would be happier. now, a simple bowl of mee pok is the same. first, you want a simple bowl of mee pok. and then you would be happy. you get your bowl of mee pok. next, you want chili with it and then you would be happier. but, when your mee pok becomes too spicy, will you be happier then? i guess, in the pursuit of happyness; we forgot what we wanted in the first place. perhaps it's wise to look at our current situation to reflect. only then can we find our true happyness and contentment. that's what banks do.
 it's pretty ironic that i have to drop into the bank during lunch hour when i work in one. Since i'm no longer a student, Westpac decided to cancel my student bank account and start charging fees. Being a typical singaporean, i naturally look for a better bargain. now, if i work in a bank, what do i do? i take advantage of the employee benefits. heh. so i went to the bank and applied for a bank account with fees FOC. woot! then the friendly teller started prompting me to get a credit card too. i say, why not! so i decided on the standard one. then she said that i'm eligible for the gold visa. hell yeah, i'm going for gold. and throw in the supp card too; for mommy and the little brother back at home as x'mas presents :D at the end of the lunch hour, i've booked myself in for an appointment for a home loan pre-approval, private health care products, income protection insurance and motor loan. all those prospective liabilities and all i wanted was a savings account. so; cash, card, condo, car and club. can i truly have it all?
